We’re partnering with a global, technology-driven organisation operating complex, large-scale platforms where security is embedded into engineering from day one. They’re looking to add a Security Engineer to work closely with product, platform, and engineering teams to shape secure architectures and enable secure delivery at scale.

This is a hands-on role sitting between security and engineering — focused on design, enablement, and practical security rather than policy-heavy governance.

What you’ll be doing

• Partnering with engineering teams to embed security into platform and application design

• Reviewing architecture and technical changes for security and regulatory alignment

• Applying secure design principles across cloud, application, and platform services

• Supporting threat modelling, risk assessments, and secure SDLC activities

• Contributing to security standards, patterns, and technical guidance

• Translating security requirements into actionable engineering solutions

What we’re looking for

• Strong experience in application, platform, or product security

• Background working directly with software engineers and architects

• Solid understanding of core security domains (encryption, identity, network security, logging)

• Comfortable influencing technical decisions and design outcomes

• Experience in regulated or high-assurance environments is a plus

• Scripting or development experience is beneficial
